PM Abiy Meets Opposition Leaders

Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed is holding a discussion with opposition leaders. The discussion is a continuation of his first meeting with opposition leaders in preparation for the upcoming election.

During his first meeting with opposition parties, he urged the parties to merge and become a strong competitor. Following his call, lots of parties merged including Blue Party and Ginbot 7 while parties like NAMA and ANDM signed a memorandum to work on areas they have commonalities. While parties like OLF led by Dawud Ibbesa still figuring his way out of armed struggle.

According to the PM official twitter account, the PM will be among the four paper presenters for discussion and his paper will be on democratic political culture and diversity.
